Question:

Assalamualaikum.

Hazrat, if one intends to perform more than one Umrah, is it wajib that his Ihram is clean? By this means, even dirt, and dust cannot be on it?

If I spill coke, or coffee over my Ihram, and it looks dirty. Is it still permissible to do Umrah in such an Ihram without it being disliked?

Answer:

It is preferable for the person performing Umrah to wear a new pair of Ihram as this is the closest to it being pure. However, if one does not have a new pair, then it is permissible to use a pair which the person already owns.

Items such as dust, soil, sand, drinks etc. which are free from impurity, when they leave marks or stains on the Ihram, it will not make the Ihram impure. Therefore it will be permissible to perform Umrah with it.[1]
