Question

Would it be allowed to pray salah with a skull picture on your shirt? Will a skull count as eyes?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Firstly, to draw inanimate objects and non-living beings is permissible in Islam.

Secondly, if the drawing of a living creature is clear enough that the body parts/limbs are able to be recognized with ease, then this is not permissible in Islam.

Imam Ibn Abideen has mentioned in regards to those drawings which are permissible: “If a living creature is so small that the details of their limbs are not apparent to someone who looks down at them standing while they are on the ground…”[1]

Regarding your question, the image of a skull on the shirt will hold the same ruling as a picture of a living creature and its body parts. Therefore this will not be permissible according to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.
