Question

Without my parent's knowledge, I had done hidden nikah in front of hafiz & we didn't live together because we are waiting for his sister's marriage. Past 2 yrs he gave me 3 talaqs on SMS in a different interval of the time period. Please guide me if halal is valid for me as my iddat period is over. We want to reunite back, as my husband has a short temper. Shall I nikah him or not?

Answer:

Issuing three divorces separately, or together in one sitting is called Talaaqbid’ah. In the case of such a divorce being issued, separation will take place immediately between the husband and wife. They should separate immediately and the woman should observe iddat. [1]

As your husband issued 3 talaqs over SMS, your nikah is no longer valid. It is also not permissible to remarry him even after your iddat (waiting period) is over.
