Respectéd shaykh in Hanafi school, what about computer-generated tones, music/virtual object, Would it be permissible to possess, buy, or sell a virtual pig, drug, prostitute, promote LGBTQ? What is the status of a virtual action like the consumption of alcohol or pork, performance of magic, illicit sex acts, public nudity, murder, worshiping an idol? Are actions performed within a virtual world punishable?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Dealing with anything haram physically is haram without a doubt. Therefore dealing with anything virtual or computerized contains the same prohibition. Therefore if one is listening to music live at a concert or listening to it through a computer both are haram and prohibited.
