Question
AlhamduliLlah, from a month my mom and I have the habit of reciting every evening these Surahs:
> Surah Kahf as protection from fitna of Dajjal
> Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq, Surah an-Nas against the whispers of
> Shaytan, audhu billahi.
> Surah al-Mulk as protection from the punishment in the grave.
> Surah al-Kafiroon as protection from disbelief at the moment of death.
Can we recite these Surat during our state of major impurity? (Of course with intention of protection, not recitation). Thank you very much,
kind regards was-Salam

Answer:
A menstruating woman may read those ayaat (verses) of the Qur’an that have the meaning of a supplication, glorification, or the attributes of Allah Ta’ala. She may read these verses with the intention of it being a dua or zikr (remembrance) of Allah Ta’ala, and not as qira’at.
It is not permissible to recite those verses that contain the commands and prohibitions of Allah Ta’ala, those verses that give information of stories or past and future events. [1]
A woman may read Surah Ikhlaas, Surah Falaq, Surah Naas and Ayatul kursi when she is menstruating. She should abstain from reading Surah Kahf, Surah Mulk, and Surah Kaafiroon as they do not bear the meaning of supplications or zikr.
Only Allah Ta’ala knows best
