Question:

If a person wakes up from sleeping and has doubts that he had made a vow by tongue but his dominant thinking is he didn’t make anything because a person never knows what he physically doing during his sleep and now he keeps worried all day and fearful in just think of doubt. Is it waswasa? and he also didn’t want any vow.

Answer:

As his dominant thinking is that he did not make a vow, then his worry and fear are considered Waswasa. Therefore, he can continue to act as though he had not made a vow, as doubt does not remove certainty (Qawaaid Fiqhiyyah, Pg 15)
