Question:
During salah, my fire alarm went off. This happens often and for no reason. I carried on with the prayer as I assumed there was no fire and left when I finished. There was no fire. Was the salah valid? Jazak Allah
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Prayer is one of the most important pillars of Islam, it has been prescribed for the believers and will be one of the first things that is accounted for on the Day of Judgement.
In relation to your question, the fire alarm going off and you carrying on with your prayer does not affect the validity of your prayer. Imam Shurunbulali is Nurul Idah has listed sixty-eight things which break the salah and the situation cited in the question is not one of them.1
Only Allah (عز و جل) knows best.
