Question:
If someone recites the azkaar after salaah, then remembers he has to do sajdah sahw, can he still preform sajdah sahw and complete his salah?
In the name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
The procedure for performing Sajdah Sahw is in the final sitting, after the recitation of the Tashahud, one is to make Salām to the right only. Then, one should say Takbeeer (i.e., Allāhu Akbar) thereafter, perform two Sajdah’s and then proceed to complete the Salah as normal (i.e., with Tashahud, Durood and the Dua).
If, however, a person forgets to do Sajdah Sahw then they may do it after they have concluded the Salah. This is on the condition that they have not yet done any action or said anything which would nullify the Salah. For instance, talking, working, walking and etc. One would simply say Takbeer and go into Sajdah and perform the Sajdah Sahw. Then they would go about concluding the Salah again as normal.
