Question:
I would like to have the ruling and interpretation of the men’s private part touching the wife’s anus during foreplay without any intention of penetration. I do think it is not an issue as long as there is no intention of penetration based on what I have read.
However, my wife thinks perhaps even the position near the anus, is still haraam. I would appreciate to have your valuable advise, in order to reassure my wife in terms of permissibility in Islam.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
“It is unlawful and sinful for the husband to penetrate in his wife’s anus. However, it is permitted for him, under normal circumstances, to touch the surrounding and outside area of the anus, even by rubbing his penis in between her buttocks or groin, as long as there is no penetration and as long as that area is not soiled with filth. The husband is permitted to touch and caress any part of his wife’s body which includes the area outside of the anus. This, however, is only permitted if he is certain of avoiding penetration, otherwise abstaining from that area altogether is necessary.

While it may be permissible according to judicial standards, a common thread is observed in both the Quran and the Hadith advising against actions that could potentially lead to sin. Thus, it would be wiser to refrain from such acts.
Only Allah (عز و جل) knows best.
