Question:
I have a congenital eye condition (myogenic nystagmus) that visually causes me to be “Cross-eyed”. The eye has no real vision (a blurry 5-10%). I have a prosthetic made that covers it (it is a screenshot of my other eye that looks normal, and goes on like a contact lens) making it more symmetrical. Is it usable for work? Mainly for video calls or social media profile photos i.e. LinkedIn.

Answer:
Congenital eye is a disorder that affects the structure or function of the eye and is present at birth. There are treatments that can be done to focus on maximizing visual potential. As you mentioned, one can solve it by placing a shell in the place of the eye which sits like a lens.
This is done for medical reasons and for treating the eye. It is completely permissible to adopt this method. However, it should not be done to deceive people by beautifying and changing the colour of the eye.
