Question:

When a women urinates which part of her vagina has to be washed? can we just wash from the upper side that is visible  or do we have to wash labia minora and also the urethra is inside it.

Can water goes inside urethra while cleansing the  labia minora or does it become impure?

Does a women have to clean the labia majora and minora while doing ghusl?

Answer:

For istinja it is necessary to remove filth, this ruling only extents to the outer part and the labia minora and not further to the urethra. If water reaches the urethra, it will be considered impure as it will be certainly mixed with impurities within the passage.

It is necessary for the labia majora and the labia minora to be washed during ghusl.
