Question:

 

 

Is it haram to watch any type of sexual activity regardless of any kind of?

 

 

 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

 

Answer:

 

It seems as though you are referring to the watching of pornography. Pornography is a great evil which has crept into society and has destroyed the Iman (faith) and spirituality of countless youth who have fallen prey to such a heinous and loathsome addiction.

 

Please stay as far as possible from ANY type of pornography, no matter what sexual activity is being performed in the video. You MUST lower your gaze when in public and you must NOT look at any content on your phone or digital devices which contains images or videos of women, even if they are fully clothed. Please save yourself from pornography, because it will lead to your spiritual heart becoming blackened, and you will not be able to practice Deen.

وَأَمَّا النَّظَرُ إلَى الْأَجْنَبِيَّاتِ فَنَقُولُ: يَجُوزُ النَّظَرُ إلَى مَوَاضِعِ الزِّينَةِ الظَّاهِرَةِ مِنْهُنَّ وَذَلِكَ الْوَجْهُ وَالْكَفُّ فِي ظَاهِرِ الرِّوَايَةِ، كَذَا فِي الذَّخِيرَةِ. وَإِنْ غَلَبَ عَلَى ظَنِّهِ أَنَّهُ يَشْتَهِي فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ، كَذَا فِي الْيَنَابِيعِ. النَّظَرُ إلَى وَجْهِ الْأَجْنَبِيَّةِ إذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ عَنْ شَهْوَةٍ لَيْسَ بِحَرَامٍ لَكِنَّهُ مَكْرُوهٌ، كَذَا فِي السِّرَاجِيَّةِ. وَرَوَى الْحَسَنُ عَنْ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ – رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى – يَجُوزُ النَّظَرُ إلَى قَدَمِهَا أَيْضًا، وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى عَنْهُ قَالَ لَا يَجُوزُ النَّظَرُ إلَى قَدَمِهَا.

وقوله تعالى: {قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّواْ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ} (٥) مُحْكَم، فنأخذُ بالْمُحْكَم فنقول: كلّ من كان من الرجال لا يحلّ لها أن تُبْدِي موضع الزينة الباطنة بين يديه، ولا يحلّ له أن ينظر إليها إلا أن يكون صغيراً، فحينئذ لا بأس بذلك، كذا في “الذّخيرة” (٦).
