If we enter the masjid at a time after a masjid’s jamah has been completed for a selected prayer, I believe we discussed that we should not call out the Azhan or Iqamah. In this case, do we still pray in jamah even if azhan or iqamah has not been called?

Answer
There are two views in regards to the ruling of holding a second congregation in the mosque. The first position is of Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) which is to form a second congregation after the first congregation in a mosque is Makruh Tahrimi. (Raddul Muhtar p.289 v.2)
The second view is of one of Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) students, Imam Abu Yusuf which has been adopted for fatwa as mentioned by I Ibn Abideen (RA) in his Raddul Muhtar, is that a second congregation is not disliked if performed away from where the first one was performed.(Ibid). However, if it were such a mosque where there isn’t a fixed Imam or a caller (Muazzin) then it would be permissible to hold a second congregation without any detestibility. (Raddul Muhtar p.288 v.2)
The view of many of my respected teachers is that to hold a second congregation regularly to such a extent that the importance of the first congregation and the number of people attending it diminishes, then it will be Makruh Tahrimi to have one. If by chance a few brothers happened to miss the first congregation due to some need then it will be permissible for them to hold a second congregation as long as it is performed away from where the first congregation was held.
If one is going to hold a second congregation it will be Makruh for them to perform the Azan and Iqamaah again as the Azan and Iqamaah which has been performed is considered sufficent. (Fatawa Hindiyyah p.54 v.1)
