Question:

Removing unwanted hair whilst fasting and starting the fast in state of janabah

Answer:

Bismillah

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

Yes, it is permissible to remove unwanted hair in the state of fasting.

It is also permissible to start the fast in the state of janabaah. However, it is makruh to remain in that state for the whole day. (Durre Mandhuud p.217 v.4)

Saaidah Aaisha raḍyAllāhu 'anha (may Allāh be pleased with her) narrates “Sometimes during Ramadan, dawn would break while the Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) would be in the state of janabah, not because of a wet dream, but due to intercourse. Thus, he would take the bath and complete the fast.” (Sahih Bukhari p.257 v.1)
