Question:

Repeating the Fajr prayer out of precaution

Answer:

Bismillah

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

There is a principle in Islamic jurisprudence which is:

“Certainty is not lifted by a doubt.” (Al Ashbah Wan Nadhair p.60)

If you are sure that 100% your salah was valid then there is no need for you to repeat salah on the basis of some doubts and misgivings. The salah, which you read after the Fajr salah will be considered as an optional prayer, hence, severely disliked. (Hidayah p.85 v.1)

Saaiduna Abu Said Khudri raḍyAllāhu 'anhu (may Allāh be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said, “No Salat is to be said after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises, or after the Asr Prayer until the sun sets. (Sahih Bukhari p.82 v.1 and Sahih Muslim)

Insha Allah, as this was not done intentionally, hopefully you will not be considered erroneous in the eyes of Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla (glorified and exalted be He).   #
