Question:
Assalam o alaikum! I have been suffering from piles/haemorrhoids, after each bowel movement they come out, and I have to push them in manually. Also when I push them back in, sometime they come out again.
Please advise if piles come out with stool, will this break the fast? Secondly, if I push them back in manually, will this also break the fast? Thirdly, when I push them back in, and they come out again, will this also invalidate the fast?
Answer:
Haemorrhoids (piles) are swellings that develop from the lining of the anus and lower rectum (back passage). Symptoms range from temporary and mild to persistent and painful.
With regards to your question. Haemorrhoids does not invalidate fasting. If a person’s haemorrhoids happen to come out, his fast will remain intact, even if he had pushed them back into its place his fast will remain intact and valid. (Fatawah Darul Uloom Deoband p.260 v.6)
