Question:

Is Asr Salah valid if you finishing reading it 10 minutes before sunset

Answer:

Saaiduna Abu Hurairah narrates that the Prophet of Allah has said “Whoever finds one rakat of Fajr prayer before the Sun rises he has found his Fajr prayer and whoever finds one rakat of Asr prayer before the sun sets he has found the Asr prayer.” (Sunan Tirmizi P45 v1)      

The conclusion to your question is that one’s Salah would be valid but with Makruh Tahrimi if you finished it 10 minutes before sunset.  The Asr prayer should be completed before the Sun becomes pale and loses its colour which is approximately 20 minutes before sunset. (Hidayah p.49 v.1)
