Question:

Asalamualaikum.

My uncle today by accident killed a chicken, or something similar to it.

To relieve himself of this sin (if it is a sin), what are the conditions, or requirements? He's been doing taubah, and istigfarh in abundance.

No reference required. Just factual, and concise answers will suffice.

Answer:

With regards to your situation, your uncle should seek forgiveness and be more careful in future so as not to harm the creation of Allah. If this chicken belonged to someone he must seek forgiveness from this person also, and if the owner demands, he must pay the value of the chicken.
