Question:

It’s been almost a decade since our marriage, and my husband keeps his phone and WhatsApp locked from me, he says he has his bank accounts open and on WhatsApp he doesn’t want his family members like his parent’s or sibling’s conversations to be seen by me. He says If I wish to see he can view his phone in his presence.
I get bypassed by his attitude because in our circle wives freely use their husband’s phones without hesitation. So is he wrong or should I not feel bad regarding it? Jazakallah.

Answer: 

Wa alaikum salaam 

Your husband might have a more private personality type and therefore would prefer to keep his phone locked. This doesn’t mean or is not a reason to suspect his loyalty to the marriage, especially if he has allowed you to randomly spot-check his phone in his presence if you find something suspicious at this time while randomly spot-checking his phone or any other time then there would be reason to doubt his loyalty to you.
