Question:

Someone has a habit of pulling their beard, and accidentally, they pulled out two or three hair in the state of Ihram. Would dam become wajib?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It is impermissible to pluck one’s beard during the state of Ihram. (Al Hidaya, pg 173, vol 2)[1]

In the event where an individual plucked 2 to 3 strands of hair during Ihram dam will not be mandatory. However, this will be considered a violation and as a result it will necessary for this person to give charity.

Half a ṣā’ of wheat, or the same amount as sadaqat al-fitr, is required for charity. (Irshad ash Shaari ila Manaasik Mulla Ali Qari, pg 461)[2]

Subsequently, only Sadaqa is necessary in the scenario explained in your query.

[1] ولا يقص في لحيته، لأنه في معنى الحلق، ولأن فيه إزالة الشعث و قضاء التفث.

[2] ولو حلق لحيته أو ربعها فعليه دم، و في أقل من الربع صدقة و إن بلغت لحيته الغاية في الخفة
