Answer:
According to the Fuqaha (jurists), eyelash extension holds the same ruling as hair extension.
It is stated in al-Fatawa al-Hindiyya:
“Hair extension with human hair is unlawful (haram). However, there is nothing wrong for a woman to put the fur (hair) of a camel or a goat (or other animals except a pig) in her hair strands.”[1]
The permissibility of using artificial hair is related to Ibn Abbas, Umm Salamah, and A’isha (who narrates the Hadith prohibiting using human hair) and other Companions (Allah be pleased with them all).[2]
Eyebrow Embroidery is technically a form of tattooing, but the process involves implanting pigment beneath the surface of the skin with tiny disposable needles in a way that makes it look like hair strokes.
Tattooing, which means injecting pigment into the skin, is haraam and the one who does it is cursed. If this technique involves removing some of the hair of the eyebrow in order to reshape it, that comes under the heading of plucking the eyebrows, which is haram; thus, it combines two haram actions: tattooing and plucking the eyebrows.
The Messenger of Allah (may peace of Allah be upon him) cursed women who do tattoos, women who file their teeth, and women who pluck their eyebrows, changing the creation of Allah.[3]
In short, eyelash extensions are permissible if the material used is synthetic and eyebrow embroidery is prohibited.
