Question:
Does writing for someone else, in a thesis, make this a contribution from his side or will it be a contribution from my side, and saying to the journal which will publish that there was a role from someone else’s side, wrong?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:
In this case, the most appropriate thing for the writer of the thesis to do is to reference or quote the piece/s of information that you have written for them, for the sake of complete clarity and academic honesty. This would be considered as taking due precaution, and in-shā-Allah this is in line with the Prophetic principle: “Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt.’”1

Only Allah knows best.
