Answer:
Firstly, there is a terminology in Islamic Fiqh known as Istihadah. Istihadah is the duration of bleeding below/beyond the habitual monthly bleeding cycle a woman has. The general monthly duration of a woman bleeding is 3-10 days, any bleeding less than 3 days or more than 10 days will be considered as Istihadah. During the period of Istihadah, a woman can perform all acts of worship like she would during her time of purity (Tuhr) except that she would require to do wudu for every individual salah.[1]
Based on the description above, a portion of the question indicates the normal cycle of Haidh (monthly bleeding duration). In October it was 10 days whereas 8-9 days was the norm of her bleeding, the extra 1-2 days will be counted as her days of Haidh as it encompasses 3-10 days.[2]
The remaining portion of the question indicates Istihadah. When she was experiencing bleeding for 15 days, then the additional 5 days will be counted as Istihadah where she was obliged to pray her salah. Therefore, any salah which may have been missed within the 5 days of Istihadah will need to be prayed (Qadha).
