Question

Asalamualaikum,
I trust my question meets you in good health and iman.
My husband gave me three talaqs on Saturday 24 Feb and I understand that I need to complete 3 months iddah period.
I work full time and I am going to request leave from work for three months but I am not sure if they will allow three months off. I was thinking if they came back with acceptance of three months off then inshallah I don't need to explore other options but if they don't then am I allowed to perhaps request one of the below options:
1- few days working from home and few days in the office for the next three months.

2- I request part time arrangements for 3 months.
I wouldn't like to leave me work because Alhamdollilah it's a good arrangement and works well with my daughters school timings etc.

Please advise how can I spend my iddah time according to Allahs will and also accommodate for any work arrangements?

May Allah reward you immensely.

Answer

Yes you are allowed to request the options you have mentioned.

Normally a women is not allowed to leave the house except out of necessity, as the husband is responsible for the expenditure during the iddah,  however preserving your means of livelihood would come under a valid reason to leave your house.[1]

Only Allah Knows Best.
