Question

I have heard in your lessons that when a piece of land is soiled with impurity and you have seen that impurity, then this land can become pure after the impurity dries out but one cannot use it for Tayammum.

My question is that will stones and bricks have the same ruling also or will one be able to wash off the impurity and use the same stone or brick for Tayammum?

Also, I heard that one is able to do Tayammum if he fears he will miss the entire Eid Salah. Will that apply to UK also because many cities have various Jamaats at different times. Should one do Tayyammum and pray Eid or go to another Masjid?

Answer

In response to your question;

Stones and bricks would not come under the same ruling; meaning that once the impurity is washed off, it could then be used for Tayammum.

Furthermore, the ruling of performing Tayammum in the fear of losing the Eid prayer due to wudhu taking up too much time only stands when the prayer will not be repeated. (Al-Hidāyah, p.95, Al-Bushra Publishers. Karachi Pakistan)

But presently there are multiple timings for the Eid prayer, it would be advisable for one to perform wudhu and then commence the Eid prayer. As there is no valid factor for carrying out Tayammum here, due to the presence of water and there being an alternate timing available for one to perform the prayer.
