Question

Can Zakat be used for medical treatment, even if the parents of the patient are not liable for Zakat, but are raising funds for cancer treatment for their 12 yr old?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Zakat cannot be given to someone with the condition that they use the money for medical treatment, and it cannot be stipulated where he/she has to spend the Zakat money.
