Question:

Does someone know Klarna? It’s similar to PayPal,  so I want to order a book from the UK and there is the option for paying in three instalments, the book is actually £171 but by paying through Klarna it costs £190.10, and they write it as interest-free.

Any idea if this is jaa’iz?

Answer:

A sale in which the parties agree that the payment of the price will be deferred is known as “Bai’ Mu’ajjal.”

In this type of sale, the buyer takes possession of the goods immediately, while the payment is delayed to a specified future date.

The deferred price can be higher than the cash price, but it is crucial that the price, the terms of payment, and the due date are clearly agreed upon and fixed at the time of the sale.
