Question:

A lady had her haydh from the 31st December till the 5th of January Thereafter she started bleeding again on the 16th January. Must she read her salah or will it be haydh, she cannot recall the exact dates of haydh in her previous cycles.

An approximate estimation is that she started haydh in November (somewhere between the 1st to the 16th) lasting around 5-7 days. The cycle before that is haydh starting somewhere towards the end of august lasting around 5-7 days.

Answer:

A tuhr mutakhallil refers to a period of purity (tuhr) that occurs between two periods of bleeding. This type of tuhr is typically treated as if it were continuous bleeding (dam mutawali), meaning the entire period, including the tuhr, is considered as one continuous phase of bleeding.

In your case, you experienced 6 days of period bleeding followed by 10 days of period of purity. This total of 16 days will be treated as continuous period bleeding. From this, your habitual number of days for period bleeding will be applied, and the remainder will be classified as istihadha.

Based on the information provided, the first 6 days will be considered period bleeding, and the remaining days as istihadha.
