Question:
Nasai 1664 says that the Prophet Muhammad saw recited the whole baqarah and 3 other big surahs in one rakah and that his ruku and sajda were as long as the recitation. How can this be? The time for tahajjud is limited. If someone were to do this, Fajr time would start before even finishing 2 units.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
Sunan Al Nasaai is one of the 6 authentic books of Ahadith, the Ahadith should not be analyzed as realistic or not unless one has a clear understanding of Ahadith. The Prophet is the best of humankind who performed deeds that surpassed the capability of a layman due to his connection with Allah, comparing this to the capability of a layman would not be appropriate and it is mentioned in the Quran “Allah does not burden one more than what he is able to bear”1
Hence, the Prophet surpassed all in his devotion to Allah and did deeds that no one else was able to bear so if he did this it was within his capability given to him by Allah and one should accept it and respect it.
