Question:
1) Does a divorced woman need to observe parda in front of his ex-father in law after talaq
2.) Need a ruling or reference supported by any evidence is it permissible to read Takbir in between surahs when one does khatmul Quran like many does when they do khatm of Quran
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
As for the 1st one, parda will not be necessary for the ex-father-in-law. Once you are married, your father-in-law will be a mahram for you forever.
In principle, the father-in-law is a mahram for his daughter-in-law since he is perpetually haraam to marry her. A mahram is he with who marriage is permanently prohibited. A woman does not have to observe a hijab in front of her father-in-law. However, a daughter-in-law should dress in a modest way in front of her father-in-law, especially in these times when immorality is common. Precaution should be taken and avoided in seclusion.
As for the 2nd one, the Takbir only happens at the end from surah Duha to surah Naas.
Imam Hakim and others have reported that when Sayyiduna Ubayy ibn Ka’b (radiyallahu’anhu) recited the Quran to Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam), he was instructed to recite the takbir with every surah, from Surah Duha till the end of the Quran.
(Mustadrak Hakim, vol.3 pg.304, Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 1912-1914, Al-Irshad lil Khalili, pg.108)
Imam Shafi’i (rahimahullah) has also labelled this practice as a sunnah.

Only Allah (عز و جل) knows best.
