Question

Assalamualaikum,

Does a Hajji also have to do Udhiya? Especially if the hajj is tamatu’?

Can ihram footwear for men be stitched together or does it need to be from unstitched non sewed material?

Answer:

Udhiya is wajib on a Haji if he is a resident (muqim) of the area. Therefore, it will not be wajib on a traveller (Musafir) unless the Musafir intends to remain there for more than 15 days.[1]

This ruling mentioned above is regardless of which type of Hajj the Haji is performing.

The footwear must also be non-stitched material as it is not allowed to wear anything that is stitched.[2]
