In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
I pray for your safe delivery and the best health for yourself and your baby by the power of Allah SWT, Aameen.
It’s important to understand that, Subhanallah, Allah SWT has not sent any illness except he has sent a cure for it too. He SWT mentions in the Qur’an:
“And We sent down in the Quran such things that have healing and mercy for the believers”
(al-Isra, 17:82).
Therefore, firstly, I’d advise the abundant reading of the Qur’an throughout your pregnancy.
According to scholarly opinion, you may recite the following supplications as you pray for your and your baby’s safety.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.
[Al-Qur’ān, Sūrah Āl `Imrān: 38]
Our Lord! Make us both submissive to You and (raise) from our offspring a nation submitting to You, and show us our ways of devotion and turn to us (mercifully), surely You are the Oft-returning (to mercy), the Merciful. [Al-Qur’ān, Sūrah Al-Baqarah: 128]
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (child)! [Al-Qur’ān, Sūrah Al-Sāffāt: 100]
Finally, I advise you to remain patient throughout the entire ordeal and remain engaged in the remembrance of Allah SWT.
I’d like you to remember the reward that is achieved in a state of pain and illness:
‘Amir ar-Ram told that God’s messenger mentioned illnesses and said, “When a believer is afflicted by illness and God who is great and glorious cures him of it, it serves as an atonement for his previous sins and a warning to him for the future; but when a hypocrite becomes ill and then is cured he is like a camel which has been tethered and then let loose by its owners, but does not know why they tethered it and why they let it loose.” When a man asked God’s messenger what illnesses were, adding that he swore by God he had never been ill, he said, “Get up and leave us; you do not belong to our number.”
(Mishkat al-Masabih 1571)
May Allah SWT grant you a safe pregnancy and delivery, Aameen.
Only Allah knows best
