Duas at Iftar time
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.
Answer
- Allahumma laka sumto wa alaa rizqika aftartu
(O Allah! I have fasted for you, and with the sustenance given by you I break my fast.) (Sunan Abu Dawud p.328 v.1)
- Saaiduna Umar Radiallahu Anhu narrates that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam used to say when breaking his fast:
“Dhahaba al-zama’ wa abtalat al-‘urooq wa thabata al-ajr in sha Allah”
(Thirst is gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is certain if Allah wills) (Sunan Abu Dawud p.328 v.1)
