Question:

My question is in regards to ejaculation during fasting and if the fast breaks. I know if someone masturbates and ejaculates it breaks the fast and qada is required. However, please let me know if someone ejaculates without using hands (for example: only putting the penis between thighs and squeezing, no rubbing), is fast invalidated or does it remain valid?

Answer:

If one ejaculates on purpose (whether it’s via using hands, using anything else or rubbing on something etc.) his fast will break.

The only type of “seaman emission” that doesn’t break the fast, is mentioned in Rad-Al-Muhtar:

لو جامع ناسيا أو احتلم أو أنزل بنظر

If one performs intercourse unknowing that he is fasting, or has a wet dream or seaman emits (through just looking at something lustful – not using hands etc.), [then the fast is not broken]. [Rad-Al-Muhtar Vol 2 page 412]
