Ejaculation Without Excitement in Ramadhan

Question:

 

I want to know one thing from you. I was stroking my penis like masturbation, then my excitement increased, but I had no desire to ejaculate, after some time the excitement increased so I stopped moving my penis and after some time I saw a little semen coming out by itself, but I had no desire to do so, will it break my fast?

 

 

 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

Answer:

 

Firstly, masturbation is an extremely detestable and addictive sin, and you must firmly resolve to cease this act immediately.

 

If one masturbates whilst fasting and ejaculates, his fast is broken and he will have to make Qadha of that fast. However no Kaffarah (expiation) will be incumbent.

 

In your situation, it seems that the semen that was emitted was not Mani (ejaculatory fluid which is discharged during orgasm). Rather it was Madhi (pre-seminal fluid). This is the fluid which is emitted during sexual arousal or stimulation.

 

Hence your fast is not broken due to the fact that you did not ejaculate. Even then, you should repent to Allah Ta’ala and never return to such a sin.
