Answer

If it is possible, give the bag (in which the Quran is in) to someone and then go to the toilet. If that is not possible, then you will be allowed to take the handbag with you to the toilet as the bag will be covering the Quran. Finally, it is against the respect and sanctity of the Holy Quran to put the bag (in which the Quran is in) on the floor.
