Question:

 

If it was asked, “Does Allah Hear and See & Know His Entity and Attributes and all contingent things with their attributes equally the same?”

 

 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

 

Answer:

 

Allah Ta’ala says in the Holy Qur’an:

 

To Him belongs all that dwells in the night and the day. He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” (Surah Al-An’am, v13)

 

Then Allah Ta’ala says:

 

He is Allah, besides whom there is no god, the Knower of the unseen and the seen. He is the All-Merciful, the Very-Merciful.

 

He is Allah, besides whom there is no god, the Sovereign, the Most Pure [ from all defects ], the Most Safe [ from all defects ], the Peace-Giver, the Guardian, the All-Mighty, the Restorer [ of the losses ], the Lord of Greatness. Pure is Allah from what they associate with Him.

 

 

He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner. He has the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and earth glorifies Him, for He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.” (Surah al-Hashr, v22-24)

 

So, we only say what Almighty Allah Ta’ala Himself said that He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing and for Him belongs the most beautiful names. [1] [2]

 

As such, one should ponder His Names and Attributes to draw oneself closer to Him and increase one’s love towards Him instead of dwelling on theological questions that will not bring any practical benefit to a Muslim.

 

May Allah Ta’ala increase our love towards His Majesty and His Messenger ‎(ﷺ).
