Question
Assalamu Alaikum. I want to ask a question which I haven’t gotten the right answer to yet. I usually feel bubbles in my back passage. It does not feel like fart and this keeps reoccurring. There are times where I have to make wudhu like 4-5 times. Because every time I make it, I feel those bubbles and I feel that my wudu is broken so I have to redo it. I’ve been experiencing this problem for almost a year now. It gets quite frustrating and takes my concentration off salah. Sometimes I feel that it might be Shaytan blowing inside me but I don’t know. I’m really confused as to what those bubbles are. I feel it even in salah. When I bow down for sajdah, I feel those bubbles and then I remake my wudu. Please help me with this.

Answer:
If one is certain that he has passed wind through the anus, then it will be necessary to repeat the wudhu.[1] However, if one has a doubt of whether he has passed wind or not, then his wudhu will still be considered intact.[2]
In order to invalidate wudhu, a person must be absolutely certain that something has exited. This can be told by hearing or smelling something, or when there has undoubtedly been a passage of wind.
Based on the principle, ”Doubts will not be taken into consideration,”[3] your prayer will be permissible.
