Question:
I forgot how to pronounce a word in durood e Ibrahim. I pronounced with an “alif” instead of “ain” when it was needed thinking that this was right. Does this count as deliberately changing the letter that will invalidate my salah?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
The issue related to the change of a word or mispronouncing a word is related to the Qur’an recitation in Salah and not to supplication. [ CITATION Dar78 \l 1033 ] [ CITATION Dar79 \l 1033 ]
As far as your question is concerned, the recitation of Durood Sharif is a Sunnah act of Salah during the last sitting thus your Salah was valid. [ CITATION الش6 \l 1033 ]
However, one should exert oneself to learn the Arabic pronunciation correctly as this is a must to perform Salah in the perfect manner, in shā Allah.
Only Allah (ﷻ) knows best.
