Question:
If someone gave before Imam Salaam and then realized, that he is praying behind the Imam, does he only wait till the Imam gives Salam or does he have to do Salaam again after the Imam?

Answer
When praying behind an Imam, one should wait for the Imam to make Salaam on his right after which one should make Salaam on their right. Thereafter, when the Imam has made Salaam on his left, the people behind him should make Salaam on their left.[1]
It is not permissible for one to give salaam before the Imam. However, if some after completing their Tashahhud did Salaam before the Imam has given Salaam, they will not have to do Sajdatu Sahw and their Salaat will be complete.[2]
