Question:
If person is having breathing problem can he come out of sajda before imam?
In the name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Isn’t he who raises his head before the Imām afraid that Allāh may transform his head into that of a donkey or his figure (face) into that of a donkey?” [Sahih Bukhari: Hadith 691] [1]
For the Muqtadi (i.e., the one following the Imām), if he goes ahead of the Imām at any point in the Salah then his Salah will become invalidated and he will have to repeat the Salah.
If, he is having difficulties breathing and is struggling to continue performing Salah, then he would be able to break his Salah and then repeat the Salah again after regaining his composure.
Only Allāh Ta’ālā knows best.
