Question:
Asalamualaikum.
Is this narration authentic?
Hadhrat Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood (Radhiyallahu anhu) said: "Be contented with whatever Allah has apportioned for you, then you will be the wealthiest of people. Abstain from the prohibitions (haraam acts), then you will become the most pious of people. Fulfill whatever has been imposed on you (by the Shariah), then you will become the greatest worshipper among people.

Answer:
We did not find the hadith you mentioned. You can send the original source so we can look into it further.
However, there is another hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) with similar wordings found in al-Jami of Imam Tirmidhi. He has classified it as ghareeb. [Sunan at-Tirmidhi, 2/127 no.2305], Darul Gharb al-Islami]
