Question:
What would be a halal way to get investment for a business whilst giving security to the capital of the investors?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
In Islamic Shariah, the permissible way to raise investment for a business while ensuring the security of the capital of investors would typically involve a partnership structure that adheres to Islamic principles. (1)
The most halal way to ensure investment security is through Murabaha or Musharakah partnerships, while understanding that the capital is not guaranteed but shared proportionately in terms of profit and loss. To supplement this, one may consider utilizing Takaful for specific risks, as long as it adheres to Islamic guidelines and does not involve interest-based transactions or excessive uncertainty (Gharar).
