Question:

During sujood the top of my head was touching the edge of the wall so it tilted away from the Qibla a bit(by less than ten degrees or so), is my salah valid?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

One of the conditions for salaah to be valid is facing the direction of the Qibla. (Mukhtasar al Quduri, pg 26)[1]

In the event where a person turned their chest away from the Qibla during Salaah, this will invalidate the Salaah. However, if the person’s face only turned away from the Qibla and not the chest the Salaah will be valid. (Al Fatawa al Hindiyyah, pg 114, vol 1)[2]

In light of the above, if you tilted your head away from the Qibla less than ten degrees while your body remained facing the Qibla your Salaah is valid.
