Question:

How far do we have to take water into the nose during ghusal

Answer:

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

There are three compulsory acts of ghusl.

1) To wash the mouth with water thoroughly.

2) To rinse the nose with water. Water should reach the soft part of the base of the nose.
3) To wash the body once from head till the bottom of feet. Every strand (hair) and skin of the body must get wet. Even if a single strand or a small portion of skin is not washed the ghusl will not be completed. (Kitabut Tahaarah p.50)
