Question
I’m working with another brother at the moment and at the moment it is not possible for either of us to get time off to pray jummah at the masjid. I’ve been fortunate in having a couple of Fridays off so I could attend due to appointments I had on the day.
I was wondering if it was possible for the two of us to pray jummah at work (doing a Khutbah and praying ourselves)?
Would this be permissible? I’ve checked every book I have access to and come across some opinions that mention the minimum number of people being 0 and others mentioning 4 (including Imam) but I could not find any references for them.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
With regards to the Jummah Salah, there has to be a minimum of three people besides the Imam. The presence of females or minors only is not enough. (Raddul Muhtar p.24 v.3)
If there are not enough people for a Jumuah salah to take place, then Dhuhr salah should be performed.
