Question

Assalamualaikum, please what should one do while praying and he remembers an inappropriate scene from a movie, should one cut the prayer and redo it again alongside the ablution, and if one tries to stop recalling it please what should one do?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

I would firstly like to remind you that you should not be watching inappropriate scenes.

If the mind is empty of any inappropriate images or thoughts, the Shaytan will have less chance against you. You should busy yourself with the remembrance of Allāh and seeking knowledge.

During the Salāh, you should resist evil thoughts and strive to have Khushu in your Salah. Seek refuge from the Shaytan. Allāh says:

“Say: I seek Refuge in the Lord of Mankind, The Sovereign of Mankind, The God of Mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisper, who whispers [Evil] Into the breasts of Mankind, from among the jinn and mankind.” (Sūrah an-Nās:1-6).
