Question:
If someone is in Makkah and goes to Jeddah for the day, then don’t have to do Umrah when going back to Makkah right?
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
If they have come from afar and have already performed Umrah, and are visiting Jiddah for business or tourism, without any intention of performing Umrah on their return, then there is no need to go into ihram.
Likewise, if residents of Makkah are visiting Jiddah with no intention of Umrah when they are leaving, there is no need to go into ihram for Umrah.
However, in both cases, due to the sanctity of the Haram, it is better to make Umrah on their return to Makkah.
