Question

As Salamu ‘alaikum  If one prays Sunnah muakkadah in the Masjid and then has some conversations with other Muslims on different topics, is this a reason for decreasing in reward of this pre-Fard Sunnah?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer

Engaging in a worldly conversation after praying Sunnah Muakkadah (emphasised Sunnah) in the Masjid before the Fard prayer does not nullify the Salaah itself. However, doing so will diminish the reward of the Salaah. It is recommended to maintain focus and refrain from unnecessary worldly conversations between the Sunnah and Fard prayers to preserve the spiritual connection and concentration in Salah.

If the conversation is brief and beneficial, especially about religious matters, it may not affect the reward significantly. Still, it’s preferable to keep such interactions minimal and focus on preparing for the Fard prayer.
