Question:
If we play catch with balloons that say “Eid Mubarak” on them is this haram? JazakAllah
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Answer:
From a legal standpoint, “Eid Mubarak” is not a unique identifier of Islam; rather, it simply translates to “happy feast.” It’s similar to saying “Sabah Al-khair,” which translates to “good morning” and is not the official Islamic greeting.
What would be incorrect is to disrespect any genuine distinguishing feature of Islam, of which “Eid Mubarak” is not one.
Only Allah (عز و جل) knows best.
